Sanitize. Disinfect. Prevent

A fresh start to our new normal!

What Is Electrostatic Disinfection?

Electrostatic spray surface cleaning is the process of spraying an electrostatically charged mist onto surfaces and objects. Electrostatic spray uses a specialized solution that is combined with air and atomized by an electrode inside the sprayer. Subsequently, the spray contains positively charged particles that are able to aggressively adhere to surfaces and objects. Because the particles in the spray are positively charged, they cling to and coat any surface they’re aimed at.

For awkwardly shaped objects or hard to reach places, cleaning staff only have to point and spray; the nature of the mist allows it to coat surfaces evenly, and envelope objects—even if the mist is only sprayed from one side. After the spray is applied, the sanitizing agent works to disinfect the covered surfaces. For this reason, electrostatic spray is an excellent solution for germ and contaminant ridden areas.

How Does Electrostatic Disinfection Work

Electrostatic spray is electrically charged, allowing the appropriate sanitizers, mold preventatives and disinfectants to wrap around and evenly coat all types of surfaces for a more complete clean.

As the chemical exits the electrostatic sprayer, it’s given a positive electrical charge. The droplets then become attracted to all negative surfaces, covering the visible area, When it comes to cleaning surfaces and objects, traditional dry and wet dusting tends to be the first methods that come to mind. While these cleaning techniques are tried and true, they do little more than spread filth around, unless the rags used are washed regularly. Dry dusting kicks up resting particles, redistributing them into the air and onto other surfaces. Wet dusting can involve harmful cleaning chemicals and make it hard to reach certain spots or objects underside and backside, with the sanitizing agent. Surfaces that are already covered will repel the spray, making the method extremely efficient.

Questions You may have

  1. Can my family be at home during this process?
Yes. All of our processes and products are safe for your family.
  2. Is this safe for my pets?
Yes. Pets can walk on the floors and it will not harm them.
  3. How soon can space be used after an electrostatic and/or fogging disinfecting service?
Spaces can be used an hour after the electrostatic disinfectant services. We recommend that all personnel vacate the service area during these services and that all air units and fans be shut off until space is reoccupied.
  4. How often do you recommend service to be conducted?
Electrostatic services can be conducted as often as required by the site and situation. Medical facilities typically require more frequent services, however during peak flu seasons sensitive facilities (e.g. education centers, sports facilities, etc.) tend to increase their service frequency.
  5. How long does the service last on treated areas?
The service lasts throughout the chemical dwell time and as long as space is not reinfected with bacteria and/or viruses. If you think space becomes reinfected, then we recommend follow-up electrostatic/fogging services.
  6. What’s the difference between using a cleaner and using a disinfectant?
If a surface is dirty, it must be cleaned before the surface can be adequately sanitized and disinfected. Dirt and grime create a barrier that will not allow a sanitizer/disinfectant to do its job. So, to fully protect your office and work environment, it’s important to clean first and then sanitize/disinfect.
  7. Does the disinfectant used by Beyond Painting protect my family from viruses?
Our clean, sanitize and disinfecting process kills 99.9% of all germs, allergens, bacteria and viruses that it comes in contact with. It can be used to disinfect your carpets, upholstery and hard surfaces including children’s toys and kitchen/bathroom counters.

The solutions Beyond Painting Inc uses to clean and disinfect qualify as EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens that are suitable for porous and non-porous surfaces.
  9. When can Employees return back to work?
Our disinfectant neutralizes 99.99% of all viruses, bacteria, germs within 10 minutes. After we complete the process, you are free to return back to work after we complete the process.
  10. With so many disinfectants on the market, how does Beyond Painting Inc choose the best one?
It is definitely true that not all disinfectants are created equal. Some disinfectants are highly toxic, contain VOC’s and require a rinse after 10 minutes. Some disinfectants will even permanently damage floors, counters and other surfaces.

Misters, fogging systems and manual trigger sprayers deliver very small droplets that passively deposit on surfaces based on the direction of spray and the effect of gravity. This results in uneven coverage of disinfectant, which can mean leaving harmful pathogens remaining on surfaces.

And spray/wipe methods are time-consuming, labor-intensive and disinfecting is only as good as the person wiping these surfaces.
